Q. My callers cannot hear me, but I can hear them
A. Your phone is muted. Press the mute button (make sure light is lit).
Q. How do I set up "one touch dialing?"
A. First you have to make sure you have room on your line keys for one touch dialing.
- Press "help," and then press the line key you are wanting to program. If the display
says "Not Defined" then it is available for programming… if it says (for example)
"line port 001." Then it is already being used as a line key.
- If your key is able to be programmed, return to your normal display screen (with
the handset in the cradle), press Speaker, 751, the button you wish to program,
01, ext number or 9 + telephone number (that you want to assign to that button),
hold, speaker.
- Test key to make sure it is working.
- Note: this will also cause that button to light solid red when that line
(if programmed to another extension) is busy.
Q. I am going to be temporarily at another desk for awhile… how
do I make sure I can still get my phone calls?
A. You need to set call forwarding.
- Press "Prog" softkey, select "cfwd", select "all", type the ext number you want
your calls to forward to.
- Test
Q. How do I make a conference call?
A. During a telephone conversation, you will notice an option appears in your display
that says "conf". Press this option (your caller will automatically be put on hold),
dial the ext you wish to conference, press Add (make sure caller knows you are going
to conference them into your conversation), press begin. You are now in a conference
call. You may only conference a total of 3 people (including yourself).
Q. I want to leave someone a voice mail, but I don't want to
take the time to log into my voicemail box, etc…
A. You can simply dial their extension number, press 8, and you will be directed
to their mail box greeting. Press * to skip greeting.
Q. How do I forward a voice mail message to another employee?
A. While listening to a message, press REDIR (redirect), enter extension of the
person you wish to forward to.
Q. I will be on vacation soon, and I don't want to rerecord my
standard voice mail greeting. Can I switch to another one while I'm gone?
A. You can switch you your "alternate greeting."
- Log-In to your Voice mail, press the softkey below SETUP, GREET, SWITCH.
- Your phone will play the greeting that you are switching to. It will also ask you
if you would like to change it. You can select yes or no.
Q. My phone in not ringing and the display says DND.
A. Your phone is in Do Not Disturb. Press Prog, DND, cancel.
Q. My display is hard to read, what do I do?
A. When you phone is idle, press the up or down arrows to brighten or dim your display
screen.
Q. I cannot remember "johns" extension number. How can I find
out?
A. Press Directory (DIR) softkey, EXT, type "john's" name, press down arrow softkey.
The display should read "John's" extension number.
