Q. My phone doesn't go to voicemail any more. It just rings and
rings.
A. Call forward was cancelled. Press spkr, 43, and voicemail extension (usally 199),
and hang up.
Q. How do I find out what an extension number is?
A. If the phone has a display pick up the handset. The display says what extension
it is. If the phone does not have a display, call someone that does. The display
will tell you what the extension number is.
Q. I just moved my phone to a different desk and my buttons don't
work any more. Why?
A. Features, speed dials, and buttons are stored in the extension back at the main
phone system; not in your phone. You can either reprogram your new phone or call
CTS to move your old extension.
Q. How do I transfer a call?
A. While talking with the customer, press transfer key and then the extension number
to transfer to, and hang up. When someone calls me, they can not hear me until I
pick up the handset. The mic is turned off. Press Feature or FNC and 1. The mic
light will come on.
Q. How do I conference a call?
A. With one call in progress, press the Conference or CNF key, make the second call
and press Conference or CNF key again.
Q. My Feature or FNC light is flashing. Why?
A. Someone set a call back request. Pickup handset and dial #. It will ring the
station that set the callback. If this doesn't work, dial Feature or FNC and 99.
Q. How do I set up a one touch button for an extension?
A. First press Feature or FNC and the button you want to program. If it says Vacant,
a CTS specialist must come and program that button for a one touch key. If it says
Unused, you can program it for one touch keys. Press Feature or FNC, press the redial
key, press the button to program, dial 1, dial the extension number you want for
one touch key, and press Feature or FNC to save. Test the button.
Q. How do I set up a one touch button for speed dial number?
A. First press Feature or FNC and the button you want to program. If it says Vacant,
a CTS specialist must come and program that button for a one touch key. If it says
Unused, you can program it for one touch keys. Press Feature or FNC, press the redial
key, press the button to program, dial 0, dial 9, dial the phone number to store
and press Feature or FNC to save. Test the button.
Q. How do I set up speed dial?
A. Press Feature or FNC, press Redial, dial the bin number(80-99), dial 9, dial
phone number, pres Feature or FNC to save. (Bin 80-99 are personal speed dial. This
means they are only accessed from the phone that they are programmed from. If you
have numbers that everyone needs to access, program them from the receptionist station
and use bin number 00-79)
Q. How do I change the time?
A. Locate the main attendant's phone by dialing 0 from any phone. The main attendant's
phone should ring when 0 is dialed. With the handset in the cradle of the phone,
dial the following:
- The FNC (function) key or Feature key
- 9
- #
- The hour (In two digit format exp. 09)
- The minutes (In two digit format exp. 04)
- To change from AM to PM or PM to AM use the RECALL key.
- The FNC or Feature key
If date also needs to be changed, after step 5 shown above, proceed as follows:
- Press the Hold key
- You can now change the day, 1-Monday, 2-Tuesday, etc.
- The date, in a 2 digit format
- The month, using the RECALL key
- The year, in a 2 digit format
Then proceed with step #6 from above. These steps should change the time for the
entire phone system. It will not change the voicemail time.
