MVX Voice Mail FAQs
Q. Why do all my calls go directly to voice mail and don't ring
my phone?
A. You set DND in the voice mail. Log into your voice mail as if you were going
to check your message, press 4 for options, press 1 to change DND to off. (DND=do
not disturb)
Q. How do I change my time?
A. On system with software version prior to 6.00
- Press the
[alt] key and the [s] key simultaneously to
shutdown the system. (NOTE: Voicemail will be offline while this change is being
completed.)
- (You will be prompted for the system's password. The system's password is MVX.)
Type MVX (must be in all capital letters) and then press the
[enter]
key.
- Choose Yes to shutdown the system and press
[enter].
- Choose Yes to really shutdown the system and press
[enter].
- Press the
[F3] key to exit the system to DOS.
- At the DOS prompt type TIME and press
[enter]
- Enter the correct time with an A for am or a P for pm following the time and press
[enter].
- To verify the correct time has been entered type TIME and press
[enter]
and the current system's time will display.
If it is not correct, change it at this time by repeating step 6 & 7.
- To restart the system, type MVX (must be in all capital letters) and press
[enter].
On system with software version 6.00 or newer
- Access voicemail from your phone as you would normally to retrieve your messages,
except you will be using a different user ID and password.
- Upon hearing the auto attendant's greeting press * to identify yourself to the system
as a user.
- Dial 999# for the user ID.
- Dial 999# for the password.
- Select option 8.
- Select option 7.
- Enter the time in military format on the dial pad of your phone and then hang up.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. Log into your voice mail, press 4 for options, press 3 for password, and follow
the prompts.
Q. How do I change my greeting?
A. Log into your voice mail, press 5 for greetings, press 1 for greeting 1, press
2 to record and # when finished.
Q. My phone doesn't go to voicemail any more. It just rings and
rings.
